Losing competitive games to LSU and Florida is not "imploding".
Something's imploding if you've given up 69 points in the last two games.

Interesting, yes. I personally find this stat to be more impressive. Since the inception of the BCS, here is the list of participant in the title game by conference:
Big 12 - 5 appearances - 2 Champs
ACC - 3 appearances - 1 Champ
Big East - 3 appearances (all by teams now in ACC) - 1 Champ
SEC - 3 appearances - 2 Champs +1?
Pac 10 - 2 appearances - 1 Champ
Big 10 - 2 appearances - 1 Champ +1?
I find it interesting that in 5 of the 9 years that the BCS has existed that the Big XII had a representative in the Champ game. The SEC is doing well at 100% champ ratio for each appearance. Will the same remain true for this year?

Michigan gave up 68 against Ball St. and Ohio St. I guess they are imploding.

The Wolverines didn't lose both games like Arkansas did, and I'd also point out that they had a little better QB play than what the Razorbacks offered.

Last I saw, Michigan is going to a BCS game and Arkansas is not. But I could be wrong about that.

Every team in CFB should play the same number of games. The thing that hurt Michigan or as my friends calls them, Wish-Again (for a rematch) and the Big Ten+1 is that they finish before Thanksgiving.
Either every conference plays a championship game or no conferences play a championship game.

You must have taken too many blows to the head when you played for us.
We were talking about Michigan and Arkansas NOT Michigan and Florida. But in the last couple of years, Michigan beat Florida in a New Year's Day bowl -- and you can look that up.
Florida's Ball State was Western Carolina, and I think that was the same weekend Michigan played Ball State. So I have no idea what you are talking about.
But for the record, I have no problem with the BCS standings that Florida gets the chance to play Ohio State simply because they won a conference championship and Michigan did not. Unfortunately for the Maze and Blue, they just happen to share the best conference in America with Ohio State. They had their chance and didn't win in Columbus.
And forget conference championship games. We need an 8-12-team playoff and stop this baloney of the BCS.

How about the BCS and non BCS conference champs get an automatic playoff birth, then you can give ND a bid plus 4 atlarge teams...that makes 16...the first round consists of home games for the 1-8 seeded teams. The second round can be played in the Cotton, Gator, Capital One, and Rose bowls...The semi-final rounds can be played in the Orange and Sugar bowls...and the final can take place in the Fiesta bowl...
In the midst of all that, those teams players will have to find time to take finals...

Sorry for the slow response. I literally died laughing and had to resurrect myself. Twice.
And it's "maize".

Thanks, Mr. Teacher.
I don't think there was anything factually inaccurate that I wrote. And it wasn't opinion.
THE BIG TEN IS THE BEST CONFERENCE IN AMERICA!!!

You must be one of those that believe that Mexico begins just south of Ohio. It only seems that way. The SEC and the Big 12 are still in America.
