Boy, I sure hope so! Its really hard to see the Pony on the helmet especially at night. Additionally, the current helmet does not stand out on TV for All-Star games. HOPEFULLY, we will have a HERD of players going to these games in coming years!
Actually, the white pony on a red helmet shows up best in all lighting. I know, I've seen them all.
I also found out that the Mustangs were wearing red helmets with royal
blue jerseys when they scared Notre Dame who had a multi year winning streak in 1949. It's one of our most famous games ever. Noticed it on
the picture of the game in Heritage Hall after the Red Blue game.
