Can we really? Could you start by spelling my name correctly? It's only in my screen name for all to see.
And what does poker, or any other sad distractionary measure you can throw out, have to do with football? I'll keep asking because I've yet to see a logical answer. Yes, you own the all-time series. Congrats. You lost last year. Let me decipher my last sentence for those with an SMU education...Last year, the most recent chance for the two teams to measure themselves against eachother, you lost to North Texas (or NTSU if if gets your rocks off). I'm sure that because you never got the chance to play an organized sport on a team that your daddy didn't own you won't follow what I'm going to say next but try your hardest. North Texas and SMU in the last decade have played eachother a grand total of ONCE. In that span North Texas has come out victorious a grand total of...wait for it...ONCE. Real men measure their athletic accomplishments in the here and now. You are the college football equivalent of a bunch of New York Yankee fans (though they've actually won something significant in their history and were supposed to be paying those players). This year the Yankees stink. This year. They can beat their chests about World Series titles all they want but they're not winning NOW.
I for one can't wait for September so we can kick your asses again...maybe if your AD wasn't afraid to extend the series we could even up that ol' all-time series record IN THE HERE AND NOW.

Is this guy really comparing SMU to the New York Yankees? Wow...
Well, at least it's not the Rangers.
GO MUSTANGS!

at least you're honest... there's no way any decent recruit would ever go to UNT based on location, education, etc. but congratulations on having your one year to talk smack on ponyfans... i do hope you stick around after the next time we play

What do you want emmitt? A cookie? A gold star? Yay, you won last year. What do you trying to do? Try to equate NTSU with SMU? Are you jealous? Really, what is it? Does it make you proud for you to think you've outwitted those from SMU?
Stick it to the man, emmitt, stick it to the man. We ARE (or were at one time, for those who are now filthy rich alumni) all filthy rich students who bathe in money at our frat houses, who daddy pays for, whilst we eat fillet mignon from our individual caterers. Let's not forget how we have different exotic cars for each day of the week. Today was Ferrari day. Tomorrow I'm feeling Aston Martin. Who knows? All I know is I'm glad that I don't have one ounce of intelligence to get into SMU, all I had to do is be filthy rich.
Our medieval feudal system of the small elite being superior to the surrounding peons is collapsing beneath us. Let me go weep and use my money as tissue.
Get a grip, emmitt. You won one game. One game shows nothing. One game does not define a team. One game does not make or break a team. I know you're going to cling to that game as if it is the only thing keeping your sad little self-esteem afloat, but it proves nothing.

You see, that was called a funny tie in to a good movie. Like Tombstone. So now that you went off wetting your pants all over this, it's even funnier for me. So glad you took all that time responding to my one line comment and [deleted] and whining. Really hope it took a weight off your shoulders.
Ike Clanton: What is that, Holliday? Twelve hands in a row? Ain't nobody that lucky.
Doc Holliday: Why Ike, whatever do you mean? Maybe poker's just not your game. I know! Let's have a spelling contest!
You're right, athletic teams do measure themselves in the here and now. We were 6-6, we were bowl eligible, we beat the Sun Belt champions 55-9, we're in a conference with 5-6 bowl tie-instead of one, we have 5 nationally televised games this year, we have an all american quarterback, an all american wide reciever, and we get to play North Texas this september. That is the here and now, I'll take it and be happy with it.

Oh I couldn't help but notice the less than bullet-proof points to your arguement like the fact that we have won a national championship with student atheletes, not employees, the athletic director that agreed to the home and home series isn't even employed anymore, and as sad as you are to hear this I'm sure, yes I was able to play sports without daddy's help. It must break your heart to know that personally I don't use 50 dollar bills as towels and drive a different car every day of the week. Breaking stereotypes can be so disheartening.

STL... be easy on the guy...
1. im not sure that UNT grads can afford a dvd to watch a fine movie such as tombstone
2. even if they could afford one, they wouldn't know how to work it.
p.s.
i do drive a different car of the week... not to be flashy, but because i like to keep the mileage on my cars low

Bunch of good lines in that film:
Doc Holliday: "In vino veritas!"
Wyatt Earp: "I see a red sash, I kill the man wearing it."
Doc Holliday: "Why Ringo, you look like somebody stepped over your grave..."
And my all-time favorite ('cause I used to say it as a kid) "I'm your huckleberry".
"Moderation in all things, and especially in Absoluts [vodka]." The Benediction, Doc Breeden, circa 1992

Michael Biehn is the man, even with Val Kilmer's performance.
