Rick Atkinson recently did a cartoon of this nature for The Daily Campus... "20 years later - still diggin' out." He does a good job.

How about using the old nasty faced Mustang LOGO with the caption
" Alive and Kicking"
On the back " Kicking the hell out of ??? "
Mustang Militia: Fight the good fight"

...the twenty first year we rose from the dead;
we ascended into a bowl game,
and sitteth at the right hand of the playing field;
from thence we shall come to run quick and far...
Amen

One score and a couple years ago our sanctioning body brought forth on this University a new penalty, conceived in inequity, and dedicated to the proposition that all schools are not created equal.
Now we are engaged in a great athletic campaign, testing whether that University, or any University, so conceived and so dedicated, can continue to endure. We are met on a great battle-field of that campaign. We have come to dominate a portion of that field, as a final gathering place for those who stand against us still.

And football season shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he today that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in Dallas now abed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us at the R&L Carriers New Orleans Bowl.

Absolutely nuttin with the word CHEAT on it.
That's for the Big Cheatin System (BCS), the
mother of all cheaters, who cheat the mid majors
chances at a national championship by exclusion

I never said I would never post again. I always said that I would be watching and observant of activities involving SMU and its athletic programs.
Yes, I have returned. But now I do not expect the Mustangs to always win and will be pleasantly surprised when they do. It helps with my ulcers.
I'll buy ralph a drink at the Hotel Palomar the next time he's in town. That'll make him feel better.
