what do you think North Texas is working on? Staying in the SBC?
Any college team must field a winning program, every year. Put fans into the stands. Go to bowl games! North Texas had opportunities to join
the WAC, but decided the SBC is the best match--for now. The next
conference raid, the Power 6 conference changes, TV $$$, will dictate
who stays, or, goes. The point is, to be ready to go when the time is
right, and have a good program that another conference wants.
Yes- North Texas is working on getting to a better conference on our
own, and this goal will happen. For now, the SBC is a good conference
to be in. Winning conference championships, bowl games, and OOC games
will make people take notice. That is the first step. Next, is the new football stadium. These goals will happen. When the opportunity comes
knocking, North Texas will answer the call!

I have a NTS friend, that loves to send me stuff from the greenie website. Charlie nt73 likes the reputation that he is a (good ole' boy) over here. I have to bust him on this! Actually they did. We only blackball them when they are trying to join a conference we are in or a BCS conference

Im not one to show much support for UNT but theyve had success in their conference. Sure the "SHUN"belt may be the weakest conference of them all but no matter where you play its hard to win 4 conference titles in a row.

but as long as we beat them this year, ill enjoy watching them be the cellar dwellers for years to come.

You are indeed right from 1997-2000 they won four in a row.

USC has technically row the PAC title five years in a row but sharing two of them.

you can be in the weakest conference or the toughest conference but winning 4 in a row is hard, especially in college because you get a new batch of players each year.
