I simply meant that the Mustang's are pony's and he is knew at it. I am a mother not a dad but wrote under my husband logon. I didn't want it to go this far but just wanted to simply state that sometimes your words do hurt others, probably not my kid since he's the one that told us not to read it.

jaydon, this is a fan site. Fans get upset. Especially when for the first time in 20 years we could taste a bowl game. And then, we have a bad opening to the season. I know that your son is not responsible for our losses. It takes about 90 players and a bunch of coaches. Everyone here knows that the players are doing their best on the field and we respect that. However, this is a place for the angry to vent and for those of us with a little gray hair, to mourn how far we've fallen from the glory days. The statements about recruiting classes not being very good is all about how they are rated by the various rating services. We all want to believe our players are better than they were rated going in. As some on this board have stated, there is a 20 year trend that seems to bear out the ratings given these players. Again, we're happy to have every player that we have on the field to wear the red and blue. We just wish we could find them a little more help with a 5 star high school all american or three.

It sounds like the only one with hurt feelings is you, not your kid. He's got the right attitude, and with all due respect, maybe you should listen to him when he says don't read this board. Or at least read it with the mindset that we are what we are, a bunch of disgruntled SMU fans.

Eaststang is right, there are a lot of frustrations being poured onto this board of late, and understandably so. We appreciate the effort your kid gives SMU football, we just wish he was an All-American, and a bunch of his teammates were too.

If they want to leave SMU because of what a bunch of frustrated fans write on a message board please tell them not to let the door hit them in the @ss. Maybe one of those other winning schools will still want them. Good luck.

Thank You, because this message board is a biproduct of SMU football, miserable. We need all the recruits to leave, so we can bring in some hungry FOOTBALL PLAYERS. Whereever we can find them!
