If this really happens on Tuesday, do you think that it was originally scheduled for Monday afternoon. But the Aggies beat us to the punch this morning and we didn't want to announce on the same day? Just a thought that I had.

Get our USC Pony connections to check LAX and see if Carroll is flying into Dalls tomorrow. Carolina Ponies, watch for Spurrier. I think we are getting Pete Carroll as HC and Spurrier as OC. Of course I could be wrong. It might be Spurrier as HC and Carroll as DC.

My sources tell me Spurrier's plane just took off from Columbia. Unfortunately, it took an unexpected detour to Baton Rouge.

Now...in all seriousness...do any of ya'll really think that SMU's next HC will be named tomorrow? Nothing has been mentioned on the DMN web site about it...and I would hope that they might have some kind of mention of it by now...perhaps even saying who it is via 'sources' in the athletic department. If it really happens tomorrow then this is the best kept secret since Deep Throat during the Watergate scandal.

the morning news and the ticket don't care about SMU sports. its an after thought in their mind - they will get to it when its finally official.
