Nobody who graduated from our business school would use Whitney Houston as a handle.

Damn straight!

By the way, Tommy Bowden was one of the first names I heard from the very beginning...not Terry. Tommy represents the extra step (current HC of major program) this program needs besides the name Bowden.

I still think he is a possibility and still carries the 'wow' name everyone is expecting from Orsini.

"I was trying to put everything to bed and let everyone know what my mindset is, what my stance is on my tenure here," Kragthorpe said. "I want to be the coach at Louisville, and to do that, I'm going to have to win games."
Yet when pressed on whether he'd been contacted by anyone from SMU, Kragthorpe was noncommittal. The Mustangs have declined to comment on any coaching candidates until the search is complete.
"That's something that we really don't need to go into because it either puts me or them in a bad situation, so we'll just move on," he said.

Oh I'm pretty sure he was contacted at least through intermediaries. They had people inside the Louisville Athletic Department saying it was 50-50% before the story broke. And then he refuses to deny contact.

This is the second time I have read a comment from you suggesting it is Coach K. What makes you believe it will be him. Give me something good to back up your gut feeling.

[quote]Start last Tuesday when ESPN.com’s Pat Forde quoted a source inside UofL saying football coach Steve Kragthorpe was “50-50″ on taking the open SMU job. Then WHAS-11 TV quoted another source saying the same thing. Only they named him: Football sports information director Rocco Gasparro. Kragthorpe was forced to have a press conference, said stories about him leaving were “total fictionâ€
