I think Logan Turner being the backup is a bigger mistake than BLM as starter, but nevermind that. The BLM choice is clearly looking like a miscalculation. Yes, even the guy everybody wants to believe is the second coming (JJ) can make mistakes. BLM has proven not to be game ready, no one can dispute that. All his supporters quickly shifted focus to "the future" after the rice debacle. Well, BLM could have gotten plenty of experience this season without being the opening day starter and thrown to the wolves at Tech. He looks like a scared kid and there is a very good chance this is hurting is development. Doubt it? Why did JJ pull him after 3 quarters when we hadnt even scored yet if it wasn't to protect his waning confidence? JJ should have thrown Willis to the wolves and forced him to sink or swim in his system this Fall. If he sunk, it would have provided BLM the chance to come in and be the hero around game 5 and learn from JWs mistakes and successes. The way it is now, JJ is stuck, and this team has no options. I promise you, despite what you guys want these little boy scouts to say publicly, the last thing Emmanual Sanders wants and deserves in his junior year is to be playing with a true freshman 18 year old and watching him throw 5 picks in 3 qtrs. LA, i didnt realize Eastern Washington hung 24 points on Tech, now the entire OFFENSIVE performance last night looks even worse. JJ cant be happy with it in any way shape or form.

If JW's suspension had anything to do with this situation JJ wouldn't even have him running routes as receiver in the red zone     .

JJ does like taking in players that have been kicked off of other teams.

The wide receivers in this offense are expected to think and make decisions without audibles. In both the Rice and Tech game, I saw throws to no man's land. That tells me the receiver was not where the quarterback expected him to be. Whose fault that is, I don't know. Maybe BLM; maybe the receiver. Considering the Air Raid offense and R&S are a lot alike, we shouldn't be surprised the secondary was able to capitalize on those mistakes.
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

I do agree with Stallion's point on the deep ball. We heard reports that BLM was struggling in camp on the deep ball, but that he improved once he was named first string.

Since the season started, his deep ball accuracy has not been very good.

I think what is lost on folks is that JJ wants to win as much as anyone else, and he has a very long and storied history of evaluating the QB position. If he things BLM is the best fit, that tells me that Willis did not do very well at all in practice before the season started.

Don't forget that in each of the two seasons Willis started, he struggled mightily in the more structured version of the offense. Once the coaches just kind of let him loose and let him run around and do his thing, he did better. The R&S is just more structured than that.

If he went to Hawaii, you guys would be complaining that SMU had let another Texas qb leave the state. He is a freshman give him time. JW is a good qb, but not for this system. He could not make the throws the BLM can.

If he had gone to Hawaii, he would have redshirt right now. That's the point.

"JJ does like taking in players that have been kicked off of other teams."

But only if their convicted felons. Rumor is JJ had a problem with JW's "character issues," yet he was first in line to get Brennan after Brenned was kicked out of Colorado for the burglary and rape charge.
