JJ is going to bring us a winner. His version of the spread has been sucessful for him. PB did recruit some good athletes but didn't know what to do with them other than scream and yell a lot. His version of the spread did not work well. PB recruited well for a 1-AA school but for the most part we play a 1-A school schedule. An objective look at the recruits will show us what is in store for us. The disasters of the past are going to be replaced with winning and exciting teams. We didn't get this bad overnight. It took a lot of dedicated effort. Unreal expectations will not help. Lets be part of the solution. "Dutch" Myer developed a spread
formation at TCU in the 1930'S. The tail back or quarterbacks were named Davey O'Brien and Sammy Baugh. As you slide down the bannister of life, may the splinters never point the wrong way. O
are they big DL recruits?
Re: Judging Talent????
The message made by Sunshine is as follows: Bo Levi Mitchell is NOT a "great talented D-1 recruit."

Re: Does SMU have D1 Talent?Rice might have had Wishbone players, but if so, that's because they lucked into recruiting "Wishbone" guys like Jarrett Dillard and James Casey and Chase Clement — who were fantastic spread offense guys.
And before anyone compares the Owls to Texas, perhaps their 2009 team should be observed a little more closely.
Re: Does SMU have D1 Talent? It just shows how quickly the worm can turn. Rice certainly did not build on their short success.
