Ain't a Coach in Hell that would ask another team to "take it easy" on them!
Coaches are proud men....no matter what team they are coaching!

Teams run diffent plays in every game trying to work on their own offense for a multitude of reasons..this game, next game..just in case....thats why they call it A GAME!

They sure hate it when the score gets ran up on them?

Proud men? No (expectations) is a proud man? A man who is willing to accept losing now for possibly a better tomorrow. Nothing is promised to us in this life. Its done honey and it is done all the time at the HS and college level. Does a coach ask anothe coach to take it easy, no dummy. Its more like this, we have a young team and we are trying to work on some things. Don't beat us up too bad, etc... The play calling changes and so forth. Leach is not going to risk getting one of his heisman candidates hurt by SMU. He would not be allowed back in Lubbock. Coaches watch film. They no when they can skip over a complete game plan and start on nexts weeks.

Leach ran the ball because Harrell was OBVIOUSLY having a bad night. Their offense ran just fine (pardon the pun) for them on the ground, so why would they put it in the air if your QB is having an off night? When a coach finds something that works, they usually go back to the same thing until the defense can stop it.

Harrell had 300+ passing against us, so I guess that is a bad night. He could have thrown for 600 if they would have thrown the ball more. They ran the ball because we had 3 in the box dropping 8. Harrell still threw for over 300 and they rushed for 150+. Some of this was while they were playing 2nd and third teamers. A friend of mine plays safety for TT. He is a back up safety but stated against us. Kid hasn't played in four years.

If i told you where i was my people would have to kill you and everybody that looks like you. I post truth. The [deleted] i read on this board in intended to kiss [deleted]. I don't owe any of you a damn thing. I make my 100k a year by myself. Its time for some of the rest of you to step up and start asking questions and get pissed. This BS has been going on too long. This board in the biggest excitement of SMU sports. Not counting soccer and that other crap that say they are a sport. We have been rebuilding so long, we could have rebuilt the wall of China. You dont have to be ugly. I am easy to find if u want to discuss this face to face.

Wow, I think BigDaddy is either Wesley Willis or James Joyce... though they are both dead and he's still posting.

Hey at least bigdaddy knew last year that the problem was athletes not on the field Coaching-there are a whole lot of backsliders who have changed their position 360 degrees since last year. You know the ones that claimed Phil Bennett personally lost 5-6 games last year and the team gave up on him. 2007 Team never gave -played hard up to and including final gun of final game-simply didn't have the talent to finish. I personally took some shots by such posters and I'm really enjoying watching them completely change their position. I guess I could pull up those Game threads in the final weeks-but you know who you are.

Last year I was totally oblivious to SMU Football :D

Now look what you guys have done to me...

Posting about Pony Football on Ponyfans, watching SMU Football on the computer with HAllf-Access while listening to the Ticket, Checking the "Bottom 10" to see if SMU gets any National Press!

Yikes, I never realized how ignorance could be so blissful!

Hopefully the other teams will "take it easy on us" and Lose like TU almost did.

what a crock of "sh*t". You are a JOKE

That is about 6+ games in the last year that were "coulda should woulda" games. Very winnable.

When are you gonna stop wishing this [deleted] and start addressing the real issues. Smu has never had (no expectations) for the Cox School of Business, never for the arts department, etc.. You yourself at your own place of business would not accept (no expectations) for 2 mill. This is [deleted]. You are right, we could have won 6 games last year and probably Rice and UCF this season. There are several games still out there where teams will use as scout team for the next game.

Then they really haven't changed their position at all.
