I'm just glad that someone from SMU is referred to as a coach of note.

It would be a pity to lose this guy, but we just need to stay focused on the team as a whole. JJ will have a list of potential replacements if he does leave. And I doubt he does, but it never hurts to test your options.

"Let's see, he's one of 40 interested-I say he ends up staying here"

Doesn't matter Jim, if Stallion could he would
buy a full page ad in the Dallas Morning News
announcing that there is a slim chance that SMU's top
recruiter could be leaving just in case any of the recruits
or other schools recruiters didn't know it and can use it as
a tool against us.

Agreed...Very much a long shot...

If any of our current coaches get a job, that would show that we have great coaches. If other programs want them, then they were worth having in the first place.

Note: Not one Bennett coach was hired away during his time on the Hilltop. USC losses a coach almost every year.

Northwestern St. hired former SMU DB Bradley Dale Peveto as its head coach.

IMHO, Peveto isn't the problem. Myles & Co. are not the recruiters that Saban was, and despite the fact that Tiger Nation wants to tar and feather Saban for leaving, he is a big reason, if not THE reason, that LSU has done so well the last few seasons. Talent makes coaches look like genuises, and lack of it makes coaches look, well...unemployed eventually.

You're right, at least over the last 20 years. Sucks, don't it?
