UT had to work their butts off to beat the woeful Suckeyes playing a True Freshman as QB.

No way do they pass the winner of OU/Florida.

Not sure if OU, Florida or USC should be No. 1, but it definitely isn't UT.

And please no one mention Utah... laughable!

Texas is definitely out of the title hunt. Maybe a top 10 finish. Colt said that no one can beat Texas. Florida and USC would beat them by 40. He can talk the talk because he doesn't have to walk the walk. Beat Ohio State by 3?? That is pathetic. Pollsters need to realize the Big XII is not all that.

I understand your frustration. Don't be upset with me, be upset with your Texas Longhorns by being embarrassed by Ohio State. There goes the strength of the Big XII. You have to admit, you can't say Texas deserves a share of the title if OU wins, Right?

I didn't think Colt played all that well until the last drive. He had several throws that should have been intercepted. Texas is really good - but Colt is about the fifth best qb in the country - definately showed he was not the best choice for the Heisman.

And Utah must be mentioned - they were undefeated - they should get the vote for number one - and then maybe then we can get our playoff instead of this garbage.

and they lost to the unranked Beavers.

UT should come out ahead of SC.

Unranked Beavers? You must not know much about football. FYI--Penn State is alot better than Ohio State. But I understand your frustration on tonights game. It was pretty bad for the Longhorns.

And how many GAZILLION points did the BEAVERS get splattered at home by Oregon?

SC didnt do it on the field. UT did. There only loss was to a top 5 Tecj team.

Once again its not about to winning to longhorn haters.

Geuss you werent around in 82 when SMU should have won the national championship. They always won. Rarely blowouts but they were a championship caliber team.

You probably would have voted them number 2 that year? Given the nat championship to PSU who lost to a good Alabama team.

The Beavers were unranked when they beat USC....having already lost to a WAC team. However, in my opinion, Beavers should never be unranked.

experienced QB was the difference in this game; McCoy atones for the loss in Austin as a FR. Good game; exciting finish. Texas definitely finishes in the top 5. Do they deserve it? Why not? But..how good is Utah?

Mack Brown is totally classless. He'll be on TV during the title game campaigning for the Shorthorns. Stoops turned down an offer to do that during the Texas - A&M game, but there was Ol' Whiney Mack during the OU-Okie State game.

Just shut the hell up, Mack. You lost to Tech and barely squirrelled away a win over the Buckeyes. You and your boys looked pretty damn scared with :20 to play. :lol:

OSU's D is one of the best in the country period, obviously USC has a more athletic and complete one, and no one can contain a VY style player in Coll. Fball....not so much in the passing game...BCS record for passing yards with Colt.

It was the TOP by OSU that contributed to such a low scoring game, not so much poor O play by Texas, although i was pretty frustrated there a couple times.
