You can also fly direct into Pullman(airport code of PUW). Your only option into Pullman is on Alaskan regional carrier Horizon Air but you can earn AA miles the whole way by flying Alaskan or AA from DFW through Seattle(SEA). It will be a butt whipping of a trip that will take at least 6 hrs and once you are in Pullman it just gets worse.
Here is a link to the fine restaurants in town:

Here are your options for hotels:

The Holiday Inn Express or Quality Inn looking like your best options.
That is why I would go with Tulsa. Tulsa is like Vegas when it is compared to Pullman or Huntington. Tulsa has real hotels and real restaurants. It has about 15 non stop flights from Dallas, if you want to rent a plane it is relatively cheap as well, or you can drive.

You are going to spend the night in Tulsa????????
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.

23 want to go. That's almost enough for a charter. I wonder what that would break down per person. Flight only.

For those living in the eastern corridor and Ohio Valley, Marshall is the game to hit. Fans there are friendly. Other than parents of players and AD staff, I think there were about four of us there the last time. If Amtrak stays funded (and Bob Byrd will keep it funded through WVA as long as he sits in the Senate), the Cardinal from DC to Huntington or Chicago through Cincinnati to Huntington is not a bad ride. About a seven hour drive from DC since you have to navigate the mountains. The train follows the New River Gorge and in late November there might be some snow falling on the trip, its very scenic. And you can read a book, take a portable DVD player with headphones and your own food if you don't like Amtrak food and of course they won't care if you're carrying a flask.

There are flights cheaper than $500.00. I have friends that have already booked flights for this game, and got airfare much cheaper than that. Plus, I was told at the Mustang Club Fundrive Phonathon tonight, that a trip is being put together.
