This is fun where to start...Daily Campus staffers work harder than 95% of SMU's student body. The job requires 40+ hour work weeks while balancing their school work and social lives.
Ok, well first of all the DC is made up of students last time I checked, ones that go to the same amount of classes, all have social lives, and usually do at least belong to some student function or are working real 40+hr weeks to pay for school, some may do all...
I just love it how the Ed Board can rip on every aspect of our school, how we are whiny little trust-fund babies that know how to have a good time. So did all of the ED Board get stuck at SMU? I highly doubt they came here for the Journalism program. I mean I never hear about it in the DC... oh wait it never has news on school events, and SMU really could not be a $32,000 last-resort school. I don't want to say it but isn't this the pot calling the kettle black?
Funny, you are on this board too, didn't know time stood still in the DC realm. You also don't have to be a bunch of middle-aged arm chair quarterbacks who obviously have too much time on their hands if they can devote an afternoon to trashing student journalists and the DC.
I offer a challenge to any DC staffer out there.
Switch places with me for one week, attempt to be a spirit filled student for just seven days and see if you would survive.
I'll write for the paper and do whatever it makes so hard for a staffer to do, and you try to work and preform with the Mustang Band.
Now that would be a DC I would like to read!
