I've seen much shakier grounds for hardship get granted. Tashard Choice comes to mind.
Remember, we are SMU.........
lol. I would think that if anything, SMU could be granted a little leniency once in a while. No doubt he's an extremely important player for us this year, could certainly change an outcome. If June can get us to a bowl game this year or next, can we call in the statute of limitations on "peruna's law"? Kind of like Boston broke the curse?

I've personally stated my goal for this season is 5 wins. Anything more than that is gravy. If June takes us to a bowl this season we ought to be one of the favorites to win C-USA next year and possibly contend to be Top 25.
Back off Warchild seriously.

If McNeal does not get to play this year, it would be a shaft of epic proportions.

There is no way in hell that SMU competes for the Top 25 in 2010. You claim to be a UT fan-you must watch real football-how can you make such a stupid claim. It ain't happening.

As much as I hate to agree with Stallion on anything, there's a big difference in winning CUSA and Top 25. Not saying that they're mutually exclusive or anything, but for SMU to crack Top 25 we'd probably have to win CUSA, get a berth at a decent bowl and beat a ranked team at said bowl. With our schedule, we might have to go undefeated in 2010 to get Top 20 (which means beating TTech, TCU, and Navy in non-conference).
