Just tell him that there is this other "Methodist" school that were formerly known as "The Fighting Methodist" for which he can share loyalty until our "Methodist" improve.

He'll be happier in the long run...

Unless they are playing Washington, Oregon, California, Oregon State, Stanford, and/or UCLA!
