Some of it in fun. Some of it ugly. Some of it creative. I personally liked that shot at the TCU fountain.
As far as the rankings from U.S. News & World Report, I can only think of the Paul Simon, "Slip Sliding Away.'' because that's what you guys are doing in comparison to us.
SMU has a national name. TCU has a regional name. That's the reality.

Uh, only because of the Harriet Meyers (sp?). That's not something I'd be too proud of.

We have quite a few SMU alums who work right here at TCU, alongside hundreds of TCU alums. So TCU types are actually signing their paychecks. Apparently, sometime after graduation, they learned the real world doesn't operate on the lines of Hilltop delusions of "Harvard wannabe," so they came to where they could really learn success. Heck, we even had an SMU senior interning in my division at TCU all summer. He knew where he could learn the most. I took him to the Los Vaqueros restaurant on the TCU campus one memorable evening and bought him a Frogarita (purple margarita). A young man that cognizant deserves to be rewarded.
So, not only do you work FOR someone, you work at a university? Go to TCU and get a job, go to SMU and create a career. Enjoy those employee benefits...

Just realized that I posted a few minutes after 5PM. It was "quitin" time for the TCU 9-5ers. I'll wait for a response tomorrow when you are back at work wasting your company's money...

That anecdote was merely another example of the mindset of the metroplex's potential college-bound students. I saw over on the killerfrog board that you missed the point of my post. It doesn't surprise me. Now why do we continue to bring up academics in these SMU/TCU debates? How about because most of us attend Universities for the education, and not the football team?

And even with your highly acclaimed SMU education, you missed the point that this was the FOOTBALL board.

And why are we even talking about that overpriced pile of bricks across the freeway? Cause it's football season. We are playing TCU, I am talking about TCU.

One of my exes goes to TCU. She sucks at football.
I believe that settles this argument conclusively.

Academic smack-talk on a Football message board in Texas is gay-and there is something wrong with that.

Sure, let's talk football. This is absurd. It's like two old women arguing about who was more attractive back in their day. Who cares? Both are irrelevant in the world of big time college football.
You think anybody outside of DFW even knows what TCU stands for? Do you think most BCS Conference students and players even know where the hell it is? You think any of those people could tell the difference between one of TCU's yellow brick shacks and the Tarrant County morgue? You think Rich Rodriguez, much less anyone east of the Mississippi River or West of the Rocky Mountains, could even tell you what TCU's mascot is?
Yeah, TCU (currently) has a better football team on paper and it's ranked (just like Houston). You toads are right...SMU cannot currently talk any smack...SMU has sucked for two decades. (TCU only sucked for one of those decades.) Bow down, you are the tallest midget at the dunking contest. TCU will probably win Saturday. But, you know what, it's not predetermined. That is why they play the frickin games. One of these days, SMU is going to sneak up again and beat the crap out of TCU, just like it did only 4 years ago. And sooner or later, TCU will once again be on the bottom and SMU will be on top. In the meantime, I'll take comfort in the fact that I have a degree from a prestigious university that has served me very well since I graduated, and that I did not have to attend some half-rate sh!thole college with ugly women and no upside.
I'm looking forward to TCwho's series with LSU in a couple of years. I'll be there, and I'll personally see to it that the few toad fans that manage to show up pee their pants wondering if they'll make it out of Baton Rouge alive after LSU gets finished making your little top 25 football team its [deleted]. Til then, enjoy being the tallest midget at the dunking contest...

SMU has an excellent theatre program. They have managed to convince the Mustangs they are an FBS football program.
