This point is especially well taken, and, if anything, Stallion's numbers are low.
Sure, Graham Harrell redshirted one year, backuped the next, and started in his "3rd" year. But let's not forget... he's a coach's son, who played for his father at Ennis High School, and ran the SAME OFFENSE there. It would not be difficult to argue that Graham had AT LEAST 7 years experience in that exact offense before he started his first game.
Katy did NOT run the run and shoot. Bo only attempted 20 passes twice in his senior season.
Now, to the original question, what should coach do?
Short term: start signaling the plays in, or run them in with a wide receiver. Do something to mitigate Bo's fatigue. I'm not sure this extends to giving him a series off.
Medium term: I hope he is already recruiting a JUCO QB. Hard.
Long term: we need to establish a pattern like Tech's. Recruit QB. He sits for 2-3 years while his predecessor plays out his career. When he starts, he's ready. Then recruit another. Rinse, wash, repeat.
To be fair, I guess it should be pointed out that we may have had this pattern in place had Justin Willis finished his career at QB. For some reason that we will probably never know about, that was considered an unworkable option.
