Several wins......total.

I don't with the guy ill will, but I think after halfway through next season BLM will not have a chance to set foot on the field again because the incoming talent is likely better equipped to play than BLM, just like Padron is. He should transfer.

UAB was only a victory due to the efforts of the defense. ECU was largely aided by Pirate injuries, but it is true that it was BM's best performance. If you can only find one positive game out of 18 starts, I suggest you realize that there is not much positive to begin with.

Now you are reaching. UAB game won only by D?

I am not saying he is the better QB. I am just saying we are likely to need him and it is DUMB to suggest he transfer or that a unknown incoming transfer is necessarily better. Good programs have lots of lesser talented guys then the starters waiting for their chance. I hope he stays and gets better under a great QB coach - since he will probably get another chance given the nature of college football these days. If Bo gets his chance I hope he has learned to protect the ball better and read his D better. The other guys - who probably all have better long term potential - can red-shirt, get used to the system and get smarter, faster and stronger.

The honorable thing for a Samari to do when proven wrong is just to admit it and move on.

UAB had 5 turnovers in that game. SMU prevented a two-point conversion at the end, which was only necessary for UAB due to SMU's skillful blocking of an extra point earlier. SMU turned the ball over four times. Two of those turnovers came from Mitchell, one of which was an interception that went for a touchdown. I do not know what could come closer to a game won by good defense. That is not a reach.

If I were wrong, I would admit to it. I fully expect him to transfer, as he will become aware of his absence in future plans. Time will tell the tale.

We only beat ECU because of our D and two fg blocks, one of which was a TD for us

The original comment that started this thread was silly. However, I agree that we are better off with more than one experienced QB on the team. That means we are better off with both Padron and Mitchell on the team and ready to play. My guess is that Padron will start, but I'll let the experienced football coaches decide that. :D

Evidence that BM should not be the backup quarterback is all of the evidence I need present, and it is all that I ever testified to having evidence of. BM's consistent second half failures have demonstrated that with him on the field no lead is safe. BM is not fit to be a backup quarterback.

McDermott is yet to play at SMU, making it harder to judge his talent versus what is scene in practice. I, however, am not so afraid of the unknown as to name the worst quarterback in school history as our backup. The blown second halves he has overseen have been the stuff of legend. In this area, the negatives far outweigh the lone positive of experience.

Either way, at this point it is simply a matter of disagreement. May Padron play every second of every game and smash our enemies into the earth below his feet!

An even greater defensive stand than I recalled! Outstanding!
