Just wait until the next sell-out campaign. You get a free ticket and ride to the game (no parking required).
assuming i have ever paid for a ticket seriously though me and and two other guys have discussed buying season tickets.... this may put a damper on it, unless i can get Stallion to give me a reasonable payment plan or a job.

All I can say is that June Jones had better win 10 games next year or else Orsini is going to look like a blithering idiot.
In my opinion this is a dumb move, but nobody asked me.
I will tell you this though...I will looking to see i all of the premium seats on the parents side are full.
Anyone willing to bet there will be massive expanses of space where I USED to sit?
Has Orsini looked at the state of the economy in this country?? I'm guessing not.

Not allowed under some CUSA rule.
124 is Home seating. Only CUSA rule is that that cannot be student seating or band seating.
I stand corrected. I do now recall that it was the students or band we wanted to move there to ride the opposing team.

For comparison (this is all about competing vs. other programs) TCU's 2008 Club Seating (didn't see other seating costs):
TCU Club seating is $1,250 per seat if you buy 2 (**see below from TCU website) vs. SMU $1,850 per seat if you buy 2. SMU's is reduced down to $1,225 if you buy 4. SMU doesn't require a 5-year lease commitment.
**2008 Season Pricing Approximately 250* club seats are available for a 5-year lease commitment, with a minimum purchase of two seats.
$2,000 donation per season
$500 season ticket and food/beverage package
$2,500 total per season**

With out being forward I would recommend to the Mustang Club that they monitor this section next year and check tickets exactly the way they do at basketball games in the blue seats. I never complain, I just show and cheer. But this would be the only thing I would ask for in return.
Never bothered me before when others moved into my area but it might begin to disturb me a little now. Be ready to pack your bags Jtstang. Of course he is already planning on bringing 2 friends since I will have to buy 4 tickets now.
You do not have to buy 4 tickets. The donation amount required is good for 1 - 4 tickets for that level/section. If you buy 1 ticket, you still pay the full donation amount for up to 4 tickets (not prorated). If you buy 5 tickets, you pay double the donation amount.
I can live with that. That is not the way I read it but that makes more sense. All I need to do is up my MC donation to where I should be anyway

I've given my own booster money since 1987. I've given more than usual in '7, '8, '9.
If this hurts poorer fans then I will not be happy with that. I'm already very unhappy that the men's athletics program has been taken away and have given that money to JC BB programs.
I've been to SMU games every year from '69-'86 & '89-'09 and it's been fun...
I'll see how the fans respond to changes such as this to help me decide if I want to give booster money for football or something else. Or maybe I just want to reserve some seats for football and not give booster support at all. It would be much cheaper.

So after 20 years of subpar attendance at often-subpar football, Steve-O is basically adding a Personal Seat License to attend SMU games. Way to reward your fans.
Let's see: - Raise the cost of keeping your tickets "at the same price. -- Lay off a bunch of low-salary support staff last spring, so those who remain are even more overworked and underpaid. --- Institute a huge jump in the cost of Boulevard spots (last year). ---– Fantastic coaching hires (with the exception of Coach Jones, who Dickerson hand-delivered).
Yeah, he knows what he's doing.

It's still a better 'deal' than what Jerry Jones charges to see a Dallas Cowboys game at Cowboys Stadium.

George S. Patton wrote:I'm in 105 and knew we were going to get socked one way or the other. So I'm not shocked or disappointed. Hey, you need the dinero to make the revenue sport big-time. I get that and have no problem with it because this is the way it is with all of the other big-time programs. The fans have to make a sizable donation to keep the premium seats. At the very least, it's a tax deduction so you get a better bing there.
The question is whether I feel like I can handle it or if I want to move. I think the complaining stems from the fact that this is new territory for all of us. Well, if you want to be successful on the field, this is the price that comes with it. We have been in this conditional thinking mode that with crappy football comes cheaper prices. Now, that the pendulum has changed, we're kinda not fired up about that.
So we saddle up, do what we think is right and support this program in the best way we know how and we can.
All of us have until May 1 to make this decision. Just think through this carefully before shooting from the hip -- and this is coming from someone who has shot from the hip far too much. Great post GSP. Sorry I missed you Wednesday, feel free to pm me.

Maybe that is why I don't attend Cowboy games. Might just happen with me and SMU. I have until May 1 to decide.
Just send 'da money.

2 winning seasons in 20 years and you want to raise the cost of going to games by several hundred percent?! Where is my refund for having to watch 1-win seasons year after year? I can't tell you how many years I watched better football on friday night(Plano, Allen, Plano East, Berkner etc.) than Saturday night.Turn on Fox News and you will find out we are kind of struggling financially as a country right now.
