Yeah and you must be one of those dummies that Jerry loves to eat up -- throw money at anything he is willing to whore out at Cowboy stadium. Weddings, football, sunday BBQ, disney shows, porn conventions, Star Wars crap, etc. Go get 'em pal - you are the market.

There is obviously a market for these games, or they wouldn't be scheduled. There are more Tech, UT, and A & M grads in Dallas than SMU or TCU. Wouldn't it be great if SMU brought it's program up to the level that it justified a neutral site game at Cowboy Stadium against TCU?[/quote]

Sure it would be great if SMU had 50,000 students and 30,000 alums in Dallas to help fill up Jerryworld. But it would be even better if teams from out of town had to play at Ford Stadium if they wanted to play in front of their Dallas alums and potential recruits. Jerryworld is a disincentive for Arkansas or Texas A&M, as an example, to schedule us at Ford. We used to draw huge crowds when those two teams visited Dallas and we played at the Cotton Bowl. Now neither one will play us on our home field. I dont consider that helpful to our program.

You must be one of those people that complained that nobody could ever afford to go to a Cowboy game at the new stadium because personal seat licenses were $50,000 apiece. A little research would show that ticket prices go up to $150. Tickets start at $45. I'm sure there are many on this board who wish they only paid $150 per seat at Ford after Mustang Club donations, etc.

No I actually don't give a [deleted] about the Cowboys or Jerryworld or what the Cowboy fans pay. Most of the TCU fans have already paid for their season tickets and what ever donation is required to maintain their seats and then the have to shell out an additional $150 per seat for that one game at Jerryworld. I'm pretty sure the rabid TCU fan isn't going to cheap out and buy an end zone seat or a nose bleed seat...nor should they have too. The ticket prices at Jerryworld are ridiculous. At Ford stadium you can get a 50 yd line seat for $25/game on the east side. My MC donations are to support the program...not to secure my seats.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
