It will be nice when we follow this show up with the news of another bowl game or better yet conference championship. Also, hope this helps solidify the verbal comitments. Go Mustangs beat the crap out of Tulane!

As long as we have money cannons to blast dollar bills into the air when we score a touchdown, and everyone can hold their giant gold-colored Peruna symbols hanging around their necks on oversized gold chains while Peruna rides into the stadium in a convertible Bentley
Couch I feel a very negative spirit here. Tell me I'm wrong.
Not being negative. Obviously I'm being facetious about Peruna riding in a Bently, but I'm serious when I say that instead of trying to hide this negative stereotype about SMU that ISN'T going away no matter what we do, we should take it, embrace it, modify it slightly, and use it as a gimmick. Make it kind of a joke and capitalize on it. This is no different than what Jones did in Hawaii by making the team gimmick polynesian warriors. Tribal drummer, tribal font, haka dance, etc. As far as the death penalty, while we shouldn't run around going "hahaha, we cheated the best!" we could use it for a little notoriety. It's something we have in our past that nobody else does, and a little notoriety and edge goes a long way with the sports demographic - males 18-35. On a related note, I've always wondered why we don't seem to market our winning soccer team to the huge population of soccer loving hispanics who right now have to drive to Frisco if they want to see professional soccer live.

Miami does it well, and has for years.
Great news Thad, can't wait to watch!

I for one do not want to celebrate being the baddest of the bad 25 years ago. Although Peruna arriving in a Bentley (I would suggest a faux Mink cover on him) does have some perverse allure to it, I don't know why.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

I just had a feeling that someone was going to pull up in a fire truck and start hosing down all the minorities. Let me round up my grand kids first please.

How many other 30 for 30's have been on ABC?
Only a few (maybe as few as two). Guru of Go is the only one to premiere on ABC. That one came the Saturday before the NC2A tournament. As per the trailer and when it's coming out? I don't know. ESPN is handling it in house. ... And thank you all for the kind words.

Oh crap, I'll be on a flight to NZ that day. Hopefully I can get it on iTunes after it airs.
