Yes why worry about driving . I avoid it when I travel to away games.

Caught that, but offering a suggestion that wouldn't require finding a parking place AND wouldn't require them to find a designated driver.

Marshall fans were some of the nicest I have experienced on the road. Had a blast in Huntington last year. Herd fans will be welcome at spot 49 as well.

Campisi''s was mentioned in the thread above. It was a great pizza place when I was at SMU and is part of local history because it has various connections to the Kennedy assasination. The owning family was investigated afterwards because jack Ruby was a friend. It is near the campus and the stadium and not in a bad part of town. Nonetheless, in the interest of disclosure I'd note also that an outstanding SMU football player was shot and grievously hurt outside a number of years ago.

The Egyptian Lounge @ 5610 E. Mockingbird

Great pizza when I was a kid and still good last time I was there a few years ago.

Are there any off the wall, hole in the wall type places to eat which we should hit instead of a bigger named place?

Stallion is right, the Herd fans are staying with our team.
As far as unique places in the smu area, why not enjoy the Dallas weather at this time of year and hit Ozona on Greenville?

Highly recommend Sevy's, which is very close to your hotel.

That hotel has rats !!!!! If he's not pre paid he ain't booked

i seriously doubt the PC Hilton in preston center has rats. if it does, i'd be worried about our players. that's where they stay on friday nights before the games.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Sounds like our Big Green Club will be having our tailgate at Peggy Sue's BBQ...how far is that to the stadium.

Where would you recommend me parking for that event? Can I walk to the game, then walk back afterwards and get on the road home quickly?

Peggy Sue is in Snider Plaza, the opposite end of campus from the stadium. Believe the parking there is limited to 2 hours. Would recommend parking on a side-street a few blocks from there.

Also go to Peggy Sue, but be sure not to miss out on the Boulevard. The BLVD is the #1 thing to not miss at an SMU game.

Its at the very corner of the Northwest side of the campus. About a 3 minute walk to the North end of Boulevard and about a 8 minute walk to the Stadium. Great food-definitely not tailgating.

You'd have to be hoofin' in to make it to the stadium in 8 minutes from Peggy Sue on gameday with all the 'Vard festivities going on
