It doesn't really matter what the forecast is for Saturday.

The NCAA rule to wear white at home stipulates the teams must agree before the season, so SMU has had this planned since the summer.

It would have made more sense to me to do the white out for an early game when it is hot as [deleted], and do the red or blue out in November.

Once again, I thank the athletic department for doing something.

Of course, no team in their right mind would agree to wear dark colors in Dallas early in the season, so doing a white out in November is probably the only way to get the opponent to agree.

Nevermind...

I didn't know/think it had to be before the season. I thought that all that had to happen was that the visiting team had to agree that the home team would wear white at any time.

Ask LSU. Obviously, they know the ropes.

I think it would have been better if they didn't announce that they were going to wear white, but white out doesn't really work but for the blue out. I would like to see us do something similar to georgias black out in 07 against auburn. Announce that were having a blue out go through pre game In the traditional red unis but then come out of the tunnel in blue unis. But maybe Junes planning on waiting for something cool like this to introduce his black jerseys

The red out worked pretty good for a rival game like the TCU game. I just hope the fans/students show up for Marshall. Otherwise, the white out will only magnify what few fans are at the game. Seems to me, besides a big rival game like TCU where you know the fans will show up, SMU needs to work harder at ticket sales before promoting a white out unless the game is going to be almost a sell out. Anything under 20,000 is a weak statement.
