so no third down thunder?

i don't think there's been a 'thunder' this year. they gave that up last season.

funny, a buddy sponsored 3rd down thunder (Mustang Realty) 3 years ago when we went 1-11, and they charged him per announcement. needless to say there were a LOT of 3rd downs against us that year and he ceased sponsorship of 3rd down thunder.

That "thunder" seemed to have been happening pretty organically with every "iiiiiiiiit's THIRRRRRRD Downnnn" that came bellowing out the loudspeakers this season. Even if that particular word is not being said out loud, it's evident much of the regular crowd in those seats became well conditioned that first year and it has now become a default response. Plus, it does double duty for some of the younger kids in the stands - helps them pay attention and stay involved in the game and tires them out at the same time!
