BTW - I'm still hunting - with an APB - for that hot chick my brother saw wearing a tee-shirt with a pic of DickerJames that said, "THE U BEFORE THE U". I didn't see it myself, but when my bro told me about seeing her and it on the 'Vard, I was like, "Big time, Matula... you've done it."

This is something I did (for free) for June in one day. I have zero rights to the music, etc. June had Ron Meyer speak at an event. I'm really very underwhelmed by my work on it, but it was right smack in the middle of Pony Excess work. I didn't take any pros off of it, and I delivered it right at the wire. I'd change around the wording at the end to make the last two statements flip in the order of placement, and leave them on the screen longer, plus tighten EVERYTHING up. In my opinion this is kind of a mess, but if you have yet to see it... here it be:

No that intro kinda' ... well I won't say anything, but you get my drift. Sorry, Billy Corben if someone sends you this link. (Billy C. - the director of The U - and I have kind of become good friends through this process.)

We used The U as our measuring stick. Knowing that we'd score a huge number (viewership-wise for the premiere) BECAUSE of The U. That is one of a thousand things that made this film different from how I intended... but all for rational reasons, and most made it better.

Anyway, I was using that as an example of the shift from over-dramatic music into something jacked-up. I would see us using "Rudy"-type/war music over the footage of Mustang legends, etc. shift to the Mustang Band with their cadence and yell opening to Peruna, the double "hey, hey" and "M-U-S-T-A-N-G-S", with the drums, and then go into something crazy.

Maybe even go into Peruna and then skip out to a hip hop remix, then rap.

After the masterpiece Pony Excess, I have no doubt Thad would do a tremendous job. My wife is a Texas Tech alum, and even she has watched it several times. She's had comments like, "half of the people in that movie, were at our wedding". Pony Up!
