That was my thought, just redshirt him. I went to SMU with a DT that was athletic enough to play RB whose name was Jerry Ball. Oh well, we'll see.

I think he busted his knee up pretty bad. Long recovery time.

Who do we have at DT/NG besides T. Pittman and moving M. Frazier back there in an emergency or in passing situations?

Torlan Pittman, Spike Davis, Darrian Wright, Jordan Favreau, Gareth Riley-Ayers ... I think I'm forgetting one more...

I think the move tells us that Wright must be doing pretty well there. And maybe they see good potential from Favreau.

That's what I figured, considering I couldn't think of the back-up DTs at first thought.

I guess its too late to consider Pope again--I thought he was one of our best rb's. He must be one hell of a linebacker prospect. O'Quinn is hurt, but even so he was disappointing and not progressing as the others were before the injury.

Pope and Wimbley would be filling two completely different roles in the offensive backfield.

That's true — players and coaches alike have absolutely raved about Pope's future at linebacker.

Watching Pope this spring at RB, I thought he might be our best runner since Shanderrick
