So is it a sign that we are improving or that we are crazy that we had over 500 yds of offense and won on the road 42 to nothing, despite three turnovers (2 of which were fumbles) and everyone wants to switch quarterbacks?

We really do always find something to complain about. I only was able to catch pieces of the game between kid's soccer games, and plan on watching it all later. But what I did see was better movement of the ball on short passes, which is the heart of JJ's run & shoot offense.

We are 3-1, 2-0 in conference, and still we are doom and gloom. Let's at least wait until we get punched in the mouth by a conference opponent before we give up on the entire season. Good Lord you guy's are nervous nellies.

Yes. And when we win the NC we will have people griping that we didn't play the toughest possible schedule.

I don't think we have scored over 40 since the Hawaii bowl. I think most are okay with the QB and a few are not happy.

Have you been to practice all year. I think I'll trust our coaches who work with this team day in day out. McDermott must be outperforming Padron in practice. June isn't just playing Mcdermott to [deleted] ponyfans.com off. Get off Padron's nuts.

Look at McD's body language on the field, its not good. and i see no leadership spark for a senior. Just flat and the offense is completely void with him at the helm. By the way, the first few throwing fakes actually did look good, then they started not to, and by the end it looked so high school.

One thing McDerrmott did right from first drive is he finally spread the ball around to all receivers-that's important. They all caught balls in first drive and multiple balls in first 2 drives. It looked like the Run and Shoot for awhile

1st drive was the best of the season.

I will say why not give KP a chance up by 35 pts. Makes no sense.

Everyone talked about how Padron went downhill last year, had an embarassing bowl game where yes, Padron looked bad, and how he was not running the Run 'n Shoot. We haven't seen a Run 'n Shoot run ever under Padron, even the Hawaii Bowl which was against a Memphis-level defense.

Now suddenly Padron is awesome.

Would Padron have done better against our last two opponents? No probably not. We stomped them.
Would Padron have done better against A&M? No, we saw him suck.

Let's focus guys.

I don't think it is much a negative vibe on this board, as it is the offense has just looked so inconsistant.
First two drives I thought they looked very sharp, then they come to a stop. JJ does not throw a very pretty ball and at times he seems to heave the ball instead of throw it, if that makes any sense but I do not know how else to explain it. I know the offense is not going to score every time they get the ball but it seems something is still not right or clicking or whatever term you want to use. Finally, the offense has to stop turning the ball over. If that does not happen the next eight games will not be pretty.
Just one man's opinion and thoughts. But isn't it nice our program is getting to a point we are actually having this type of discussion

Again, I wish there was a "like" button on this...

However, I will note that I don't recall people proclaiming JJ McD's greatness last year. Still think this is the best thing for KP. Still think KP is NFL material.

Kyle has been - as they say in hockey - "gripping the stick too tight". Trying to hard to be great, rather than just playing the game.

What do you base that on? Do you go to practice?

I like both QBs. Everyone can improve on different things, but Padron does not lack arm strength.
