That makes two of us...hopefully there are a lot more, because adding WVU to either the Big 12, SEC, or ACC is baffling.

Re: Big 12 looking outside of state to expand
in comparison to whom? Their appeal is obvious compared to Tulsa. Compared to BYU maybe more of a toss up.
Re: Big 12 looking outside of state to expandOklahoman says 12, not ten, is the right number of Big 12 members:

Re: Big 12 looking outside of state to expandUntil Orsini gets his head around the fact that an informercial time buy on CBS Colleges Sports TV is a waste of money, and that creating relevance for your team begins with putting people in the seats, the we will be an afterthought for any discussion regarding upgrading our status. At this point, we just don't bring enough to the table, regardless of how many full page ads the smu2bcs crowd buys in the DMN.
Re: Big 12 looking outside of state to expandI agree the Big XII should aim for replacing the losses of A$M, Nebraska and colorado and get back to their namesake number.
Adding TCU makes sense in that it gets the Big XII back into traveling to DFW area and helps balance the north/south divisions. BYU, Louisville, Cincy, West Virginia and possibly Boise all have some positives If TCU gets the bid they've earned, it will likely be because the rest of the Big XII finally stood up to Texa$ and declared this is the way it is going to be.

You sure about that?...I mean about more fingers than teeth?....
Re: Big 12 looking outside of state to expandyou mean like Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama and Louisiana like the rest of the SEC.

Re: Big 12 looking outside of state to expandI think he thought you meant they had 30 or so fingers. Might have been better said as less teeth than fingers.

Yes...you got it. As in....We know that the 'toothbrush' was invented in West Virginia, otherwise it would have been called the 'teethbrush'.

Re: Big 12 looking outside of state to expandWhy would BYU join until a stronger commitment is made among the remaining teams? Isn't Missouri still mia on staying or possibly bolting for the sec. If UT finally figures they can make more in the PAC12 than with a dilapidated Big12, there goes the whole thing again as that is what kept the OU-OSU-UT-TT pod from joining the PAC12. BYU should just stay away for now.
