Wow. I'm not sure what planet you two have been living on but Leach has been anything but toxic. ------------------------------------------------- This post is oblivious to the Reality which makes me wonder if you are an extra-terrestrial. Get a newspaper subscription or maybe invest in Cable. FACT this guy has put his name in the running for every job in the last 2 years and he has to work as a high school consultant "With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris

Re: UNM looking at LeachLeach to smu?
Who got the milf weed? You guys must have forgotten about Leach v Craig James
Re: UNM looking at LeachWe have a coach, thanks.
Re: UNM looking at LeachWhile many have said Memphis is the worst team division I, including me, New Mexico might give them a run for that title. They are 0-4 with all losses being blowouts except last week when they only lost by 3 to Sam Houston St., ouch!

Re: UNM looking at Leach
You are right about Tech being his only head coaching position, but he was the OC at 4 different school's before going to Tech and all had success never before seen or not seen in many years. His one year at Oklahoma they went 7-5... but this was following three seasons of losing football before his arrival when they went 3-8, 4-8 and 5-6. The year after Leach left, w/ the QB he chose, Josh Heupel, the Sooners went 13-0 running his offense and won the NCG. ![]()
Re: UNM looking at LeachI'm not really a Leach fan but will say that he is one heckuva good coach.
GO PONIES!!!
Re: UNM looking at Leach
Yeah... because we all know how reliable the newspaper is. ![]() In his book he says this: I still have the desire to coach, but I'm going to make sure I go back for the right reasons, which means finding a school that is committed to football, values academic excellence, and wants to work as a team so that everyone can win together. Like I said... he will return... and he will win. ![]()

That's certainly not New Mexico. They who would give up an essential liberty for temporary security, deserve neither liberty or security

Re: UNM looking at Leach
Just to be on the record I called it first.
Re: UNM looking at Leach
and, I seconded it, sort of.
Re: UNM looking at LeachThey should have done it a year ago so Leach could have had Nick Foles.
Re: UNM looking at LeachHe's just a weird dude...good coach I agree, but just strange. He has no job now and limited prospects and Sports Networks can't figure him out as a commentator and won't hire him....he could work as a coach at NM though.
