You don't need to make a donation to buy season tickets on the Student/Visitor side, i.e. on the other 40 yard line, or 109/209 through 114/214.

You are correct, I have tickets in both 104 and 124 and only the 104 tickets require Mustang Club membership. The good thing is that even though Nick was wrong he stated his point in a very pleasant manner so he does not look like a jerk at all.

I've made a career and good money in entertainment marketing. It's always great to have a comprehensive campaign at your back, but that's not what's wrong w/SMU attendance. Nick is right, the cart has to go in front of the horse at SMU. Despite the odds, win & win big. SMU has 25 years of alums that cheer for UT, a small local alumni-base, and entitled/spoiled frat daddy's determining it's social scene. Beyond that, the school itself isn't exactly Dallas-friendly, nor are the residents of Dallas, SMU-friendly. In short, no one cares. You know what frontrunners care about, though? Winning. Do a bunch of that, most notably vs. BCS schools or TCU, and you'll see attendance rise up some. Other than that, good luck.

Otter but dont ya think the show is also directed at recruits and not just fans?
The show is one piece of a complicated puzzle.
Take the show money & we're still not on the same planet money-wise with Northwestern.

You are correct there is some analogy to Northwestern, but if Northwestern was not in the Big Ten Conference and was instead in CUSA, Northwestern would be about like SMU maybe worse. Sure we can do a better job at marketing, but we also are making progress on fronts that have been failing for decades.

Northwestern as others have said has a HUGE advantage of having millions and millions of
Big Ten Conference dollars to throw at marketing we don't have.

I think the show is a waste of money, just think that a guy who has never posted on the board should use a little more tact, better evidence and a reason to join the argument....

If northwestern wasn't in the big 10 they wouldn't have d1 football....see University of Chicago...

Not anymore. We voted down the old rules this year.

Gentlemen,

Must I once again point out the terms and conditions for using this site? Threats of physical violence are not tolerated.

I've put Nick and Otter into time out until they can learn to play nice.
