BYUtv has a whole religion behind it, and launched in 2000. They recently grabbed the WCC Basketball Tournament, now that BYU is a part of it. They also have a deal with ESPN for at least one FB home game and all rebroadcast, but It carries more than just sports and does not have the same high subscription fee or espn deal that UT has. So BYU should not have that hard of a problem joining any conference unless they suddenly charge a higher subscription fee for BYUtv and become an LHN clone. But don't think BYUtv will turn into LHN as they were created for two different reasons, and charging like LHN would severely limit the number of households they could reach.

Change of attitude in regard to adding Texas schools to the Big 12. http://rivals.yahoo.com/ncaa/football/n ... g12-neinasNeinas had said last week that there was “resistance†from some existing members to adding teams from Texas.
“I’d say that’s changed,†he said.
When will I start feeling stimulated??

Bad news for the Big East if they lose TCU.
Back off Warchild seriously.

man, i sortof hope TCU goes to BigTX. they will get owned having to play that schedule every week, and in 5 years when UT goes to the Pac16, they're left sitting on their hands like baylor.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Yet they were perfectly willing to join 2 time zone away 16 team conference
Do you really think this was going to happen? Positioning your program so that many of your away games in every sport requires 2-4 hour flights really doesn't work

Baylor should be worried. Ft Worth is far better than Waco. Also hot girls that are allowed to dance.

So TCU to Big 12 and C-USA loses an anchor team in the East. Awesome.
I wonder if we could convince the MWC to abandon the merger idea and take us, UTEP, and Houston to get their numbers up:
MWC West - SDSU, Fresno, Boise, UNLV, Nevada, Wyoming MWC Eaast - New Mexico, Colorado State, Air Force, SMU, UTEP, Houston
Back off Warchild seriously.

I think MWC would jump at that.
Didnt someone post an article somewhere that said SMU turned down an offer to move to MWC in the last year or so?

You might even exchange Tulsa for UTEP. Tulsa has a more solid and viable football program.

You left out Hawaii. Honestly I am surprised that June has not been in SO's ear trying to get us into the MWC so we could play in Hawaii every few years.

What I love to see some day is a Texas/Southern/Florida based conference. (TCU, Southern Miss, SMU, UH, Baylor, Tulsa, UCF, USF, Memphis, ECU is a good start) But we might be forced West again

With the exception of Boise and AF why would we want to be back in the WAC? This conference didn't draw flies in Dallas. Why would we go back there? This is not an autobid conference by itself. How many away games would our fans go to in this conference? Houston? How many can they attend now? Houston, Rice, Tulsa, Tulane, even USM, Memphis and UTEP are not wholly out of the question. How many fans would travel to Dallas from Hawaii, SDS, FSU, Wyoming, UNLV, Nevada, CSU, UNM, Boise? How many would travel from Houston, Rice, Tulsa, Tulane, USM, Memphis and UTEP to SMU? Check the attendance for those games versus games with Fresno and Boise and see the results. AFA would bring fans, Boise brings BCS appearances that's it.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
