Re: I Hate TCU FansSo obviously some of the posters on killer frogs are jackasses and I'm sure if you sat in the TCU student section you got some grief (but you should expect that if you sit in an opposing team student section) but overall I was pleasantly surprised by the TCU fans. The ROTC kids were very helpful explaining the shuttle pick up and drop off points, I had a fun conversation in the half time concession line, and no one complained when I was going crazy outside the stadium after the win.
Re: I Hate TCU Fans
Wait until next year. We will have one continuing thread for all the games. I am negotiating the deal with 94 right now. Kind of like conference realignment. We are merging the games all together. All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
Re: I Hate TCU FansJust know that you will have rogue mini-game threads breaking out all over the place. A real cluster frick.
I Hate TCU Fans
If I make it happen what do I get?

Re: I Hate TCU FansI honestly surprised that Patterson tried to play this off as an other game. Really? Students on both sides of DFW Duel care more about this game than any other in the regular season. Trying to play it off as just another game, or not knowing that we cared, or that SDSU (there's a great regional rivalry...).
Now SMU students found this and had a good laugh - http://www.spitbloodtcu.com/2011/09/fro ... -poor.html Had to get that off my chest. With regards to their fans, I was surprised by how hostile to us they were. We were much more gracious hosts last year to them (on our Family Weekend no less) than them to us. I cannot tell you how much ruder they were to me and my friends than the A&M fans. Aggyland was downright hospitable - despite that ridiculous hissing - compared to their construction site. I really think they got a little too big for their britches and forgot that while they have been good for a couple years in football, they're no Alabama. Shocking that cocky fanbase was amazing and took away from them the one thing they have over us.
Re: I Hate TCU FansI met several Frog supporters. One in perticular said "welcome to Ft. Worth" and was very pleasant.
However I noticed two things, one he was dressed like an SMU fan, no "purple wife-beater" t-shirt and he looked like he wished he had gone to SMU.
Re: I Hate TCU FansI had a Froggie alum visit the house Saturday night. I paid him for the pizza and he left.
Re: I Hate TCU FansMan I've been to Ft Worth about 20 times and never seen a single TCU fan act rudely to an SMU fan.
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.
Re: I Hate TCU FansIn twenty years we never had much of a chance to win...Maybe because you had your TTU shirt on instead of the SMU one?
Re: I Hate TCU Fans
I noticed that...what was up with the number of purple wife beaters and tanktops??? I felt like I was in California or Arizona for a little bit. Even one of my TCU friends said that pissed him off and it had been showing up a little bit more in the last few years. Wear a polo for crying out loud!!! -That also goes for the Cali bros that go to SMU....
Re: I Hate TCU Fans
You have to remember, not every person wearing purple at the game was a TCU grad. TCU has been successful in getting the local Ft Worth folks to support them, but that leads to a real mix of people. If we can once again become Dallas' college team expect to see similar types at our games. It comes with having a successful program, but don't paint the TCU fans with too broad a brush...most of them are just like us...they love their alma mater. Just ignore the a_holes. SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
I Hate TCU FansThe only pests I encountered at the game were a bunch of middle school kids sitting behind the SMU section that chanted sucks repeatedly during our SMU, SMU chants and stuff like that. It offended some in our section but no real issue. Just annoying.
