Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastRumors have SMU in meetings with Big East this weekend.
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastIf we get in it looks like we are going to have to find a way to stop the option offense
"With a quarter of a tank of gas, we can get everything we need right here in DFW." -SMU Head Coach Chad Morris
When momentum starts rolling downhill in recruiting-WATCH OUT.

No joke!! -- speedy linebackers? Military analogy -- Air attack (SMU) vs Ground attack Last edited by GiddyUp on Sun Oct 09, 2011 12:43 pm, edited 1 time in total.
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastAF would be fball only. Probably other service academies too, then.
Think there's still an opening. Instead of TCU being SMU's BE travel partner, maybe AF is our new travel partner? 1:40ish from DFW to Colorado Springs. ![]()
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastCMF- comic relief or nightmare. Guess that depends on your perspective- right??
GO PONIES!!!
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastNo credible source has indicated SMU met with the Big East this weekend.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastHaven't you learned that Lifeson lives in the athletic department? He probably booked Orsini's flight to wherever the meeting took place.
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastHow could you expect less. IIRC you referenced those who said the 'sky was falling'. Oh, I understand, perhaps you just meant SO was falling (or should I say failing).
GO PONIES!!!
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastThis round of realignment is starting to round out. If CUSA loses ECU, UCF, or Houston we better have a damn plan. All of this posturing and pot banging we are doing will look embarrassingly stupid if we are left in a watered down CUSA/Sun Belt.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastEJ says we are going to the SEC.
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastEJ has seriously backed off that farce.
Back off Warchild seriously.
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastWho knows, maybe they were told to shut up. Usually when there is a big OOPS!, at least the paying members would get some kind of mea culpa. Maybe we'll get an answer when the work week starts.
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastMaybe they have been offered an exclusive on the SEC invite in return for cooperation. In the meantime they have been asked to shut the [Gary Patterson] up! It seems a little to quiet on the Rivals board. I would have expected a response by now. One can only dream.
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastYeah not to to even approach going near the deep end, but within about twelve hours it did a complete and total 180. Usually, in the real world, when you're providing a service and make an OOPS!, there's some kind of mea culpa, otherwise you risk doing harm to your own business...that's all.
There's the 'ol loose lips sink ships line haha.
Re: Air Force Headed to Big EastI do not think SMU has ever been involved in any SEC scenario. I have listened to the 2 major sports radio stations here and although there has been much speculation as to what will happen with SEC expansion, SMU has never been mentioned in any form or fashion.
All those who believe in psycho kinesis, raise my hand
