Money isn't even second on the list. SMU can't afford to lose this guy. He's close friends with many current college coaches. He can put together a staff pretty quickly. And no Nick, I'm not AK.
I thought NFL pensions were relatively modest, even under the new agreement.

He is more important to the program than jj at this point...
Sorry you disagree
If you believe this statement, which I tend to, losing Klemm sets this program back 1 year guaranteed, 2 years most likely. Hiring Klemm as a HC to a 3-year deal, if he fails, sets us back 3 years, even though I suspect the talent will continue to flow. In that context, hiring Klemm as a HC is not as big a risk as some as stating. Count me as one who would rather have Klemm over JJ.

I think klemm would be very agreeable to taking an oc job with a future as head coach.
The problem is going to be jj and the lemmings stay. No way jj promotes ak to oc, he leaves to ucla or asu and takes 2012, 2013 recruits with him
We are left with the lemmings offering Phil Bennett's top 50 list

Then maybe it comes down to Klemm or JJ.
I would take Klemm for the reasons stated above.
JJ overplayed his hand.

Problem is we can't afford buy out, so jj isn't going anywhere unless he leaves on his own.
We need to force jj's hand into making klemm o.c. Over one of the lemmings

Man I was just laughin' at myself when I realized that Stallion does not know who our Offensive Coordinator is. We don't have one do we. Morrison I thought was QB Coach. Does any other team not have an OC.

What did you think all that running back and forth from Padron and JJMcD to June on the sidelines was about?

That is the only way Jones lets Klemm be OC. He might let Klemm run back and forth to the huddle with the play call. Only way to promote Klemm that I see would be to Assistant Head Coach.

Morrison is listed as the Asst Head Coach for Offense, but not the OC, according to the media guide. I always thought he was the OC in name only. JJ coaches the receivers and QBs (and scout team O).

Interesting...so we don't have an OC. Maybe that's why our offense has stunk.
