Great guys I saw were Freeman McNeil, Marcus Allen, Eric Dickerson, and Reggie Dupard.

John Riggins, ED, Barry Sanders, Tony Dorsett (although Alfred Morris if he keeps it up...) NFL
Herschel Walker (USFL). - Saw him run a sweep 98 yards.

Best RB I've seen in college was Ricky Williams at Texas. I saw him run all over Mississippi State in the Cotton Bowl the year he was the Heisman. Best RB I saw in the pros was Emmitt Smith

Honorable mentions - College: Ron Dayne (UW), Percy Harvin (UF) (Yes - they lined him up in the backfield about 35% of the time), Kijana Carter (Ped State)... Anyone Nick Saban has played since he took over at Alabama.

Eric Dickerson shared the stage with Craig James which took away some of his glory. (James was a great asset also - not trying to take anything away from him). Thus, I would say Jim Brown was the best college running back (watch his game against TCU in the Cotton Bowl).

However, Eric Dickerson was the greatest running back to play football. Jim Brown was the second best and Earl Campbell third.

I'm sure I'm right! LOL

Best Pro RB: Barry Sanders. It was the MNF game where he ran for over 200 yards on the Dallas Cowboys at Texas Stadium.
