I didn't say anything about us affecting how the team thinks, I just said that I hope our team isn't treating it like a gimme...playing a top rated D2 team is no joke, like posters on here are making it. They will be well prepared and amped up, no doubt.

The panic thread is a satirical tradition begun by Ponyte a few years ago. He played the game through some losing seasons and also with the best teams SMU has ever had. He definitely knows what the team needs to do but also likes to interject some fun and humor into life.

we're not going to lose this game. I know everyone, including myself, is disappointed with the progress of the football program, but we are at least an average team with average talent. We hung in there with a decidedly mediocre tech team for 3 quarters. We should have no problem with Montana State.

The "fun that is being poked at" is directed at fans that respect Montana State as a worrisome opponent. I get the thread. I get the fun in using worrisome JJ stats stated in another thread as a platform to make Montana State seem like an insurmountable opponent. I just think we are facing a dangerous opponent. Continue on, but as I read this I think "that could happen"...
