I have never met a Methodist that is in to being Methodist like Catholics or Mormons or Islams are.

Yeah, Frances Asbury didn't translate any plates, you can probably use John Wesley in a cartoon without much blowback, and church can last as little as an hour. No forthcoming Methodist fatwa to rile up the masses either I guess

One school has athletics and one school has academics.

Emory is an academic high achiever. It has a medical school and a top 20 ranking. A faculty with high honors. It has prestige and a national reputation. An AAU member. Division III athletics.

On the flip side, SMU plays Division 1 athletics. It ranks in the 60s. Has a regional reputation. No medical school or AAU membership but a pretty campus and the Bush Library.

Football aside, I'm just saying it's time for SMU to be Emory's academic equal.
