My understanding coming into the season is that the CoC was willing to buy Jones and the staff out if they didn't compete for the conference championship. I"m not sure what has changed in that regard.
I'll still be surprised if no changes are made to the staff. IMHO, if we replaced the new coaches at LB and ST with phillips-type recruiters, it would have a bigger impact than changing over the entire staff.

Wrong about this past season on the CoC but next season the buyout will be lower. Phillips seems to only land recruits that he has seen at Lamar HS. We need a head coach that will at least go personally visit Cedar Hill.

Just root for another program- one that actually cares about competing. When we extended June, we showed our true colors.
Eff hart.

So now you are going to demean the one group of people who did something to try and take the program up to a competitive level? Just because they aren't willing to fork out a 5M buyout? That is appalling.

Appalling? Really? Get some perspective son. Appalling is the way we treat our servicemen and women. Appalling is 1 in 5 American children going hungry. Calling out mediocrity is not appalling. It is a fact.

Some years ago I was approached about joining/helping the CoC, however I felt that the group was way too klannish in their outlook. Apparently they haven't changed, because they didn't act like true Mustangs, and pony up to payoff/replace JJ and his aloha staff for the betterment of our alma mater. If this had happened, I would reconsider and be proud of becoming a member of this Klan. As such, I choose not to become a member of "The Circle of Champions klan", aka a [deleted]

Publicly disrespecting a group that gives untold millions of dollars to your school is apalling. That's an excellent word for it. Who else are we going to throw under the hate bus today?

It's not hate but it's simply withdrawing support for something you have issues with.

So they are not true Mustangs because they did not write a check to replace him? Did you write a check to replace him? I know I didn't (wasn't asked), so I guess that means I am not a true Mustang by your definition. Seems like by your definition there must be no true Mustangs since he is still here.

Let me make sure I've got this right. You're saying that it's ok to publicly "withdraw support" for (i.e. bash) the group that has funded your program to the tune of millions of dollars over the last few years? Did I get that right? You're mad at them because they're not giving more of their untold millions? That is APPALLING, a perfect word choice. Appalling, thankless and a hundred other terms of derision.

What did he say that was appalling in your opinion?

I hope I'm just on crack. But I thought he and you were mad at the CoC for not pony-ing up more of their own untold millions to fund your football program.

I actually think they did not have much of a choice in the matter and added stipulations in this contract to protect themselves. I have no problem with what they did if that was the case. But I can see him not liking the situation and withdrawing his support until things change.

If I had used the word clan in stead of klan the end word would not work CoC_.
