It takes a special kind of ignorance to think we will ever be in the Big 12, unless its configuration changes drastically. I can't see TCU or Baylor ever wanting to be conference mates with us again, but we'll see.

Which is why TCU keeps signing in on the rivalry in basketball and football and BU is open to start a similar rivalry with us again.
The willingness is there, SMU cancelling the rivalry with BU is on us.

I may as well assume that WVU and UConn would get swept up by the ACC, but technically, they could be in there as well.

Tennessee plays Memphis a fair amount, but I don't think Memphis is joining the SEC anytime soon.

Same with USC and Hawaii.

It's really growing tiresome having to correct your ignorance multiple times a day. It's your opinion, really. Nothing is set in stone. We will join a P5 one day and then you will see the error of your ways.

Well...I have a clear preference for a more regional conference that resembles the old SWC. I could say I would love SEC but chances aren't good we will end up there. We realistically have a better shot at B12 than any other P5 right now-think about it, TCU and WVU never thought they would be in Big 12 in the year 2010...part of the reasons we got left behind were apathetic fanbase and lack of competitiveness late in the game (post DP). TCU fixed that, therefore they are in.

Being an SMU fan is hard enough here in Texas...these guys here (ECM and co.) certainly don't help make it easier..
They should just stop being so [deleted] me and others here, and pushing people away.

I actually think SMU eventually getting to SEC would have a better shot than SMU to Big12. Texas way to smug toward SMU, and I think SEC would like to stick it to Texas and Big 12 further, and after all, even great conferences need quality bottom feeders. TAMU and Arky have generally been good partners for SMU, so they could help us out.
