or what.
Re: Duke Lax player Hipps transferring to play football at SI watched a good bit of the NCAA tournament so I saw a good bit of duke lax this year.
The good news is Hipps is a very good lacrosse defenseman on a very good lacrosse team with a very good defense. Duke dominated the national championship game and ND only made it close at the end. Their D in the 1st half was as good as Lax defense gets. I am sure he is in great shape. I would be more enthusiastic if he was a midfielder, though. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Re: Duke Lax player Hipps transferring to play football at S
as part of the receiving corps for the first two years under June, we had a better grasp on the offense than the QB the first year IMO. Not naming any names but we had a lot of turnovers in that inaugural year (2008 and 1-11 if y'all remember). It will be tougher for the QB than a receiver. The thing is though, if you are a receiver and you don't have a 100% grasp on the offense you won't play no matter how good you are because June doesn't like to use a receiver for just occasional situations. He likes to use the same 4 for the whole game every play if he can.
Re: Duke Lax player Hipps transferring to play football at S
Yeah. Rotation is not a term we use in June's offense.
Re: Duke Lax player Hipps transferring to play football at SThree cheers for Chris saving JJ's bacon.....Hipps, Hipps Hipps hurrah.
Smustatesman aka NUKE......I procreate and I vote.
Re: Duke Lax player Hipps transferring to play football at S
So we can put you down as thinking he will make a major positive impact?
Re: Duke Lax player Hipps transferring to play football at S
Not sure about major......but when he is tackled, or hits the turf; he should make an impact. And, if it's beyond the line of scrimmage then it would be positive. Smustatesman aka NUKE......I procreate and I vote.

Re: Duke Lax player Hipps transferring to play football at SAnd another thing, to whoever said players run routes in lacrosse.
First, that is no more true in lacrosse than it would be for basketball. Duke runs a lot of pick and roll and pick and slip. Second, Hipps is a defenseman. You aren't running anything. You get the ball and clear it to a middie. He took 1 shot all year and only had 38 ground balls. First step as a defender in lacrosse is a drop step or a backpedal or a shuffle.
Re: Duke Lax player Hipps transferring to play football at SHappy to have him!
