Does that advertisement infer that half the games will be red jerseys and half will be blue?

That's my assumption. Hart also had said they would probably be using the red shell, white pony occasionally too. All of this is great! Thank You Athletic Dept for listening to the fans!

Your memory is correct, sir. Was in a Straight From the Hart

Agree with adding stripes to the pants. Other than that these uniforms are perfect. Do a battle red day like the Texans do to please the fans that like the red jerseys and boom!

Just had a thought about the helmet stripes- Adidas is well known for their "three stripe" design, and we switched to the current thinner, connected stripes when we went over to Nike. I wonder if that had something to do with it.

Id wonder the same if we wouldn't have had three stripes on the shoulders of the jerseys. Ohio state has three stripes fwiw.

True. And while I think the three helmet stripes looks better, the current stripe we have is more reminiscent of the Pony Express era

Agreed. Still like the three stripe look the best though... but Id live with whatever stripes in exchange for the talent of the 80s.

I agree, I was referring to liking the three helmet and pant stripes.

From a friend of mine that is a partner with one of the big marketing companies in town, SMU is possibly considering some type of Alternate uniform to promote cancer awareness during one of the big home games this year. He would not say which game, but I am guessing either TCU or A&M. He would also not elaborate about any type of uniform changes SMU will wear to show support for this cause. Since SMU was still in the process of putting this together he was not saying much. Has anyone else heard of this?

Now that we have this helmet-wrapping technique mastered, I imagine we will wear pink helmets sometime in October. Probably not for family weekend against Memphis, of course, which means against Cincinnati on 10/18.

pink helmets? No thanks. Maybe a pink pony decal on the helmet, but that should be it in my opinion.
Also, we need to do a pony decal with the American flag in it for the game near Veteran's Day and have a military appreciation Saturday- color guard, free tickets for military veterans and their families, flyover, etc.

How about a red pony decal and call it cancer awareness for all the other cancers considered not good enough for special treatment
