If you all are Mustang Club members, and gave up on JJ when he didn't quite make a better
situation 3 years ago :?:

Then this is just a self fulfilling prophecy :!: Which brings us back to Pfil HasBennett's 0-12
year. Go stick that up your sine wave :!:
May the forth be with us.

Only a fool would still support JJ after the mess he has left.

I like but I'm not supporting JJ. I'm starting to believe he is getting old, and tired of the B.S. of
working long hours to get another victory, or successful application release deadline met in my
case.

The lack of support of Mustang Club has led to where we are :!: :!:

SMU's "lack of support" goes well beyond the Mustang Club. It's a top to bottom issue and has been since as long as I've been following SMU athletics...and that's a long time. Those who think things were great in the pre-death penalty era weren't paying really close attention. We were competitive "back in the day" thanks to a very small number of people who were heavily invested in the program but even then we did not enjoy strong support from even our students and alumni.

I don't think any MustangClub member stopped giving even though if some were frustrated with JJ. Does take much budget to drive to area high schools and recruit. Deflecting the blame to the Mustang Club would not be right. Mason has even said that we need to start recruiting area high schools. Mason evidently saw where JJ was messing up as well.

My guess is you're not really a Mustang Club member.

I am a Mustang Club member and supported JJ. But this is just plain bad. Rice played them better than we did and Bailiff has less support that JJ had.

That's the truth. Although I'll never understand the folks on this board go off to the deep end and blame the people WHO ARE ACTIVELY SUPPORTING THE PROGRAM by contributing to the Mustang Club or actually going to the games.

Some of the accountability for this mess should fall on some (not all) members of the CoC. Apparently June buddied up them enough of them and that they would not fire him during the ASU fiasco. By waiting 3 years it has effectively devastated to program.
