Singletary is a looney. I don't want that guy representing the university.

This has to be a troll answer. There have been a lot of awful names thrown around here but this list takes the cake at that. Also absolutely not to Houston Nutt, Lane Kiffin and Ed Orgeron. We can't afford to miss with this one and those would be spectacular failures.

I hope the next cache is a strong recruiter and brings back power football with bigger more physical teams. I would love it if the red zone was owned by our Offense cause our line and backs could push the D back ands score predictably.

What about Dino Babers? Did a complete recovery of Eastern Illinois and uses the Briles offense.

We already have that coach. They call him Larry Brown.

Are you kidding me? Most of the names from you trolls so far have been a combination of "has beens" looking for a last paycheck and "no name coordinators" who are in no way shape or form up to the challenge.

I'm looking for a guy who wants the fight, has a name (can recruit), out to prove the naysayers wrong, knows the game.... I think my list qualifies...

According to USA Today, Brian Kelly only gets $1 million/year from ND. Maybe we can get him!

I'm sorry but how is Chad Morris no name coordinator? Also your list sucks a**. Mike Singletary? As a huge niner fan let me tell you that guy couldn't coach his way out a wet paper bag and is 100% certified kook. Rhaeem Morris?: As in the guy who had more personnel issues (with guys who are professionals and not still kids) than any other coach at the time? Lane Kiffin: Wow where do I start. Run out USC where before hand he could do no wrong, fired on the bus trip back from the game, Tennessee for one season. Guy is a coordinator and nothing more. Phil Bennet. This is where I lost it and just started cracking up. You want to higher back the guy who is still salty at SMU for firing him, who can't run a defense that will keep anybody under 35 points (unless you are SMU) and would excite 0.0% of the fan base. Yup awesome list man. You should be the next AD.

Orgeron is definitely not the guy either. The guy blows as a coach.

When I get home from work, I will respond in a more detailed fashion regarding the "no name OC."

First - when the hell did Mike or RM ever recruit college athletes?
Second - Grittiness, fighting, proving wrong is all bs coach/media speak that means absolutely nothing in terms of X&Os coaching.

Gene Chizik?

Ties to Texas: recruited the state as HC of ISU '07-'08 and Auburn '09-'12; co-DC at UT '05-'06; asst. at SFA '92-'97
Ties to AAC: recruited in Florida/across pats of AAC footprint during HC tenure at Auburn

He won a BCS title and an SEC championship. His HC record is only .500, but that was at ISU (awful) and Auburn (SEC West).
