I didn't think of that but it's true. Recruiting tweets, a cool uniform change that the kids will like, hitting in practice, the most positive, uplifting email from our AD since email has existed, a positive spin about our football program from several media outlets and optimism from the group of 30. All in a week. Hmmmmm, indeed.
The uniforms were in place before June left. Don't know if the helmets were ordered or not,

Stop being silly. These are alternative helmets to be used a few games per year. My goodness. But I think they are sharp and I believe the recruits will as well imo. I am sure some of the older Baylor alum don't like there unis but they go along with it because they know recruits like them.

GO MUSTANGS
Not just for the young players on the team. They are what they are and right now they are not very good. It won't make them play any better. But you are forgetting the most important aspect of these and it is RECRUITING. Someone pointed out the that SMU (tough enough sell as it is) lacks the coolest factor when it comes to recruiting and this will help imo.

The helmets won't help us win games now but they will help recruiting.

Now we need some cutting edge uniforms - let's be the first to feature anthropomorphic representations of our mascot, like these ahead-of-their-time mustang band uniforms!

Only thing about our red helmets that I didn't like was that they were too close to Arkansas in color and with a white animal on the side. Still same objection, but they look good otherwise.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

I think Couch said that the chrome helmets with the red chrome mustangs on the side looked good. But the non chrome red ones they used last year for one game had the same designed as these but these don't look as cheap as those did. Chrome face masks are nice.

Exactly, last year the red ones against UCONN looked really cheap. It looked like something a division II school would have done to save money. I must say, these chrome ones certainly do not look cheap. It seems to me Rick Hart is getting stuff done!

I am assuming by the "BFD," Mr. Lukas does not care about our new chrome helmets. For regular readers of Uni-Watch, it seemed he was a much bigger fan of our uniforms when we donned the Adidas "June Era" uniforms with stripes.

No the guy at Uni-Watch has always loved our traditional Pony Express look
