Re: An Obituary for June's QB Recruiting and "Depth"I think JJs plan these last several years was to give high school players, who have no other options, a place to play and get their college education paid for. His requirements: wants to go to SMU, has no or very few other options, can play slot receiver (and if not, one of the other positions). How else could we end up with what we have?
Re: An Obituary for June's QB Recruiting and "Depth"
Stallion is right on. It was either the 2012 or 2013 class that had 9 kids with absolutely no offers or interest from any other program Div. I or Div. II. Much of the rest of the class had interest from 2 schools or less. Dismal recruiting class. Any one who follows the program knows that we have had horrible recruiting for the last 4 classes. Hart can make excuses, but when he cancelled the Baylor game last year that meant to me that he was either stupid, bought into the poor JJ's dilemma syndrome and/or did not have a clue as to what was going on with recruiting and incredibly culminating matters with a contract extension. Not the actions you would expect from a first line AD. In fact, I think Hart should not be excused and we should demand his resignation/firing and start over with all new personnel.
