To go back to the original topic, in 16 years as a collegiate head coach did June ever recruit a single successful D-1 quarterback other than Timmy Chang? He inherited Rolovich, and Gilbert/McDermott/Brennan were all transfers. THE GUNSLINGER (TM), Padron both washed out. Every other QB recruited at SMU didn't pan out. Willis was sequestered to the WR corp. Yes, I'm including McDermott in that group; he played hurt, had a live arm, put up decent enough numbers, made the bus on time, and gave SMU it's only win over a Top 25/natural rival in the 7 years June was here.

I was at SMU when McCown transferred. The rumor on campus was that he was having issues with grades in the upper level classes. I am not sure that is true. That is just what I had heard.

Believe McCown had some issues with cheating in classes. And when I say cheating, I recall someone who shared a class saying it was exceptionally blatant cheating where there was no choice but to hammer him.

Hearsay/IIRC/rumor from 2000? And where is the outrage over the fact that Forrest Gregg didn't put any offensive linemen in the league, and Tom Rossley didn't put any quarterbacks in the league?

Let it go. War's over, man. Wormer dropped the big one.
