This reminds me of the scene from Billy Madison where miss lippy reads "the puppy who lost his way". I would post the vid but it's rated PG-13.
Next we will complain that the gray uniforms bottoms don't hide corndog grease stains very well.

No need to take out the Corn dog frustration on SID. He is the Sports Information Director not the Concession Stand Director. I would suggest you call the person who is in charge of Food and drinks for the stadium

Yeah, that was crap. As I heard one SMU mom say, "Not everyone can afford $4 for a bottle of water.

Its probably a business decision by Mr Corndog that he doesn't want to expend the funds for equipment to comply with UP code ordinances for 6 games

Actually I made the same suggestion earlier in this thread but did it in a polite and civil manner.

Do you not think, perhaps, there was more to the discussion than SID detailed?

lwjr I agree the SID was probably not very involved in the
corny dog issue, but he did respond to the concession thread and spoke
specifically about the corny dogs, so that is why I addressed him.

And I disagree about a phone call doing much good. Phone calls
are ok and I will do that...but I have been told by very
reliable sources that the athletic department assigns people
to monitor this website and report what is being said.
If issues come up on PonyFans they are sometimes addressed
in athletic department meetings.
That is one thing great about the internet.
Entities do not have as much control of information becoming widely
publicized/discussed anymore. Hip Hip Hooray for the Purple Hippo Plane Tracker!

Obviously the corny dog issue is not of earth shattering importance,
but I think "going public" sometimes works better than calling some
guy sitting at a desk in some backroom office. 2EachHisOwn

Oh I'm sure there is always " a reason" why we fail where many others don't.
I am sure there is "a reason" (excuse) for the cell phone disaster at Ford.
I am sure there is "a reason" why you spend 40 million renovating
a basketball arena and then immediately have ridiculously long
rest-room lines snaking thru the congested corridor during games.
I am sure there is "a reason" some said the Mustang Club tent was a nightmare.
I am sure there was "a reason" the names were wrong (Carl Sewell) on the recent mailout.
I am sick and tired of being sick and tired!...my head is spinning!

If someone has already mentioned this, sorry for the duplication...

In the past, have been willing to spend $4 for a bag of candy (Peanut M&Ms) at the concession stand at both football and basketball games, however, I discovered a new, significant and totally rip-em-off change that I just can't stomach. They've starting selling the $.99 size bags (1.74 oz) for $4, where it used to be a much bigger bag. The person staffing the vendor booth agreed with me after she put in on the counter and I did a complete double-take that it clearly wasn't worth it. Guess I'll have to stop by Kroger or Tom Thumb on the way to the games from now on. And will plan to bring an empty water bottle, too - sure hope at least one fountain is working... ;)
Don't worry. Be Happy. Or not.

Wow. Seriously on the M&M's? My favorite snack is/are M&M's.

That is crazy!

If people want to find something to complain about, its that Chick-Fil-A is no longer served in stadium. I'm being facetious, the concessions are fine. Everyone complained there was never alcohol served, I can't wait for one person to complain its not served quick enough/or at the proper temperature. Can we not enjoy the experience of a football game? (Outside of the obvious disaster that's our team) We have six weekends per year. Stop complaining and enjoy. I sat through numerous empty games during the early 2000s. What we have now is light-years better. I'm sorry you cant get a corndog, smuggle one in if its that important to you. Dickeys seems like a reasonable replacement.

Dickies is a major upgrade unless you are a crazy corndog head. I was always uncomfortable with the bulbous head at the end of the stadium corny dogs.
