This entire article is actually an excerpt from a book by Feldman which is available online. The immediately preceding pages deal with the recruitment of Burchum based on the recommendation of Steve Dilfer. Hopefully it opens up on right page

Actually this is a really good study on Jones. Look at his history - total "true believer" follower. Bought into the Mouse Davis guru and instead of taking his knowledge and expanding on it, he became an acolyte. RnS was a religion that he blindly followed. Same deal with this personality type guru. Just a follower.

Then, the SAME type of behavior by the June lovers that blindly followed him long after people saw reality. These are the same people that think psychics can talk to your dead relatives, faith healers can cure your cancer, and a bracelet with a magnet in it can magically cure your arthritis.

You guys got to read this article-June Jones is a crazy loon. Yes indeed he did have a "different recruiting philosophy". Now we know what mexmustang has been bitchin' about-they wouldn't hire his crazy Svengali friend. If this guy was so great at reading the personality types of QBs-how come none of the QBs he recruits can play?

Just dawned on me - the June lover is just like the doomsday cult member. Join the cult, doomsday comes, no apocalypse, they don't leave the cult, they start making excuses.

June Jones, Former NFL Player, Former Head Football Coach at the University of Hawaii, Southern Methodist University: “Brain Typing over the last 5 years, for me, has probably been the most pertinent information that a football coach can utilize. I think it’s absolutely outstanding—from my time with the Chargers when we had discussions about Ryan Leaf and Peyton Manning up until now. It’s as important to me right now as I would say the Xs and Os of our game.” - See more at: http://braintypes.com/testimonials/#sth ... ToYY1.dpuf

Ponyboy, Jason, Plano stang & Mexmustang are at the top of the list. The judgment skills are lacking to say the least.

There may actually be something in that as far as I go, a valid observation. I probably reserve judgment for too long. However, I will never take any pleasure in tarring a feathering a man, such as what's happening here. The tar and feather man will come after you some day, unfortunately.

The next day, Jones walked into the office of his boss, Bobby Beathard, the Chargers’ GM. San Diego had the second pick of the draft. Beathard admitted it was the Chargers who were paying Niednagel. “He says Peyton Manning has It. Ryan doesn’t,” Beathard told Jones. Manning was labeled as an “ESTP.” Leaf was “ESTJ.”

“I said, ‘Are we going to take Ryan Leaf, even though we know he’s not one of those guys?’” Jones recalled. “He said, ‘Well . . .’ and then he hemmed and hawed and said something about how the owner made the call.”

If any of you feel the same as I do, and that is that he really screwed us. I would suggest, no IMPLORE that you send emails to any school interviewing him or reputed to have an interest in him about his lack of energy, integrity, ethics, recruiting etc., etc, so that they may be forewarned.
Please do not let another school experience the crap that we have put up with in destroying our program and bringing it to a level not seen prior to DP.

A skeptic's review of the pseudoscience of Brain Typing-compares the guy to Tony Robbins and claims there is no scientific support for Brain Typing. Could this be the unstated reason to come to SMU-to include Brain Typing as part of the new curriculum in the then new College of Education Applied Physiology major? Maybe he has some kind of financial interest-he's been following this guy for decades and is on the board of his Institute.
